Raj Prabhakar

Biography

As Executive Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development For Celsion Corporation, Raj Prabhakar has been with the Company since 2004. Focused on developing and commercializing drugs for various cancer indications, the Company relies on him to help accelerate the process for its lead drug candidate, which is designed to treat liver cancer. Currently Raj Prabhakar is engaged in setting up clinical trials for the drug in the United States and Asia, in addition to pursuing global development and manufacturing opportunities and preparing for the pivotal Phase III trial of the drug.

Raj Prabhakar attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During his time as an undergraduate, he led multiple student organizations, including serving as President of the parliamentary debate team. Following graduation, Raj Prabhakar worked for Swander Pace Capital as a private equity Associate and then began graduate school at the Harvard Business School in 1999. He earned his Master of Business Administration in 2001.
